I have these same conversations with my 7 and 11 year old daughters. My 14 year old showers 22.5 times a day. Don't worry, soon he will spend so much time in the shower you will wonder what the hell he is doing in there. Wait you know what he is doing there, and you don't really want to.

I have been reading your blog for a while now and I always find that your entries are funny and insightful. As for little boys and taking baths, when my brother was 10, he went through a period where he refused to take a bath. It was strange and he used it as a weapon against my sister and I. At one point he burst in on my slumber party to reveal to my guests that he had indeed not changed his underwear in three days. I guess it is just a phase.

Lisa: every now and then, I thank God that LG is a boy, even though I will definitely know what he's doing in there. ***Mindy: thanks! I have two little brothers, and I remember when they were just foul and rancid. Now they are both all metrosexual.***Nancy: Literally. I think my son either has psoraisis (sp?) or scabies. He's got something nasty growing on his feet. Do you get scabies on your feet? No?

Yeah, I was bemoaning my son's dirtiness and I asked my husband when the HELL that kid was going to start keeping himself clean. He gave me a ribald look and said there's only ONE reason guys start WANTING to take showers, and I ran away screaming. So now I embrace the filth because it's better than the alternative.

I'm with Lisa, soon he will be in the bathroom so much you'll be icked out for a different reason! Boys are supposed to stink in general. Especially between the ages of 8 and 14. It's required I think?
