Sometimes I wonder why I'm so often crabby for no good reason. Like today. Here I am at home, hanging out with the cats, having gotten a cup of coffee and sat in the park reading for a while, and I am crabby as hell.

After reading the above two posts to myself, the clue bus arrived. With a big stick.

Hidy Laura, I Could make you feel guilty about saying things about mall walkers by saying that I only wish I could walk well enough to BE a mall walker........ but I wouldn't do that. Really.

We are lame as all hell about dinner at my house too. When we even make dinner. I would say spaghetti is our most common meal. Last night I even went all exotic, and made garlic bread! Yeah I'd say spaghetti and hotdogs/sausages are our biggest staples. If I get in a cooking mode, there might be more chilli and tacos/burritos around. If it's brunch, we often make ommlettes or eggs & grits. Are you inspired yet?

I made this Sunday night and it was deleeeeeecious: http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,,FOOD_9936_21002,00.html. And I am making this next time Harris Teeter puts their little ol' lobster tails on sale: http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,,FOOD_9936_11789,00.html. P.S. Tuna steaks don't make your house stink. And they're so easy to cook. And if you buy medallions instead of steaks (same part of the tuna, just the end of the cut instead of the middle), they're really inexpensive as well.

EB lives near an ocean, I'm guessing. There are no tuna medallions in Kansas. Unless you mean the tuna that comes out of the can and retains the shape. My menu for the week: Frozen pizza, Burritos, Turkey tenderloin, ham and cheese wraps (hm i'm using tortillas twice in a week) and hamburgers. Everyone eats boring shit. However, I did not eat chicken this week, I must say.

I just finished putting together an office cookbook with some pretty good recipes in it. I would email you any number of easy, or fast, or "fancy" recipes you'd like. Also, one of my favorite websites is: allrecipes.com -there you can even type in the things you have in your pantry, and it'll give you a recipe to make with them. Tonight we are having Tuna steak over dill hash browns. Tuna is easy to cook: just put in hot skillet with a little oil, watch it change colors up half way, turn it over, watch it cook up that half and it's done! Of course, you would want to add a little seasoning you know. I like mine a little more rare, but the hubby wouldn't eat it then.
