Is -- I expect --- right?! I think maybe it should be I suspect! My dad says I expect all the time, we can't help it, we live in the deep south. ha.

Bebe, I think "I expect" is a kind of colloquialism. It sounds right to me. In fact, I would say "I 'spect that..." and that way, it's anybody's guess which one I mean.
